Hello! I’m Hannah

As a clinical student intern with the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Southern Connecticut State University, I am passionate about working with diverse populations and helping you navigate through anxiety, depression, and trauma.

While these are areas I focus on, my approach is open to anyone seeking support.

I believe that everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to be heard.

With a background in working with children, I have gained valuable insights into human development and emotional resilience. This experience has taught me to approach each person with patience, compassion, and adaptability—qualities that I bring to my work with teens and adults.

By understanding how early experiences shape behavior and emotions, I can help clients identify patterns and build healthier coping strategies in their personal and professional lives. This perspective allows me to support clients in creating meaningful growth and positive change.

In our work together, I aim to build a strong rapport and meet you where you are in your healing journey. Whether reflecting on a book's themes, encouraging creative self-care, or discussing your favorite teams — My goal is to provide a collaborative environment where we can explore different techniques and strategies that may work best for you.

Above all, my priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where healing can take place.

WORKING WITH ME

Twice the thinking power

As a clinical intern, I’m directly accountable to my supervisor, Laura, for ensuring I’m providing evidence-based care that’s suited to each client I’m working with. Through frequent supervision, I’ll be collaborating with my supervisor to put our heads together to discover effective interventions that help you reach your goals.

Fresh perspective

All therapists do their best to remain curious, but clients can still get the sense that their therapist is burned out or apathetic in session. As an intern and new clinician, I meet my clients with a refreshing curiosity. After years of schooling of new theories, practices, and interventions, I bring a bright energy to sessions that is palpable.

Greater accessibility

My smaller caseload allows me to be much more flexible in scheduling appointments and increases my accessibility both in and out of session. While I’m unable to accept insurance, my session rates are significantly reduced, which means you can receive high-quality care for a fraction of the price.
